Inauguration of the Djambala School Complex
On August 13, 2013, the Directorate-General of the National Oil Company of Congo (SNPC) inaugurated the opening of a boarding school complex which it built for the city of Djambala in the department of Plateaux. The ceremony was attended by three ministers, SNPC board members and staff, and officials of the department of Plateaux.
Among the members of the government, there were Raphaël Louemba André, Minister of Petroleum, Hellot Mampouya Matson, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education and Literacy, and cialis 20mg Anatole Makosso Colinet, Minister of Youth and Civic Education. SNPC’s Executive Board was represented by Jerome Koko, Chief Executive Officer, Charles Alfred Sockath, Deputy Director General of Upstream Operations, and Nganongo Calixte, Director General of Finance and Accounting. Officials were also in Djambala to participate in the celebration of the 53rd anniversary of Congo's independence.
The opening address for the event was presented by Mr. Jerome Koko, CEO of SNPC, which focused on "2013, Year of Education in Congo Brazzaville" in accordance with President Denis Sassou Nguesso’s state of the nation address to the joint session of parliament on December 31, 2012.
This was followed by the symbolic cutting of the by the Minister of Petroleum who handed the symbolic key to officials of in charge of the new boarding school. Participants then went on a grand tour of the 14 hectares of land on which two buildings were built. The buildings each contain: 5 classes, 5 houses to accommodate staff, and one administrative office building with 4 offices, one hall, one multipurpose room, a dormitory consisting of 7 rooms with a capacity of 80 people, boys dormitory with 10 rooms for a capacity of 120 people, 6 showers with toilets for girls and also 6 showers with toilets for boys, 1 equipment room, and 2 large cafeterias.
