On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the SNPC, its Director General, Mr. Maixent Raoul Ominga, was raised in the Congolese Order of Merit to the rank of Commander by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Denis Sassou Nguesso.
For this purpose, the presidential decree concerned about a hundred company agents who were also decorated. The ceremony took place on Monday, May 7 in Brazzaville at the company's headquarters under the leadership of Colonel Norbert Okiokoutina, Grand Chancellor of National Orders.
These decorations focused on the Congolese order of merit, the order of Congolese devotion and the order of the medal of honor.
During the ceremony, the Director-General said he was "honored" to receive this distinction. He also added that "twenty years for a society is a lot; and at the same time it's nothing. " He congratulated those who were honored, and encouraged those who were not, to continue to work more. He urged all staff to give the best of themselves, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness in the work. He also reiterated his desire to make the SNPC a full-fledged oil producer.
